How to Access Low-Income Transit Fares and Fee Waivers

SFMTA offers a number of discounts on transit fares and parking related fees for low income customers with a gross annual income (before taxes) at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level indicated below.

Discounts and waivers are currently available for the following programs
- Adult Monthly Transit Pass for San Francisco residents (Lifeline)
- Adult single ride discount (Clipper START)
- Citation Payment Plan
- Citation Community Service Program
- Towed Vehicle Adminstrative Fee
- Booted Vehicle Fee
- Hearing Deposit Waiver
Receiving the Discount
Complete and include the Income Verification Form along with you application for the program you are applying for.
Individuals who qualify for SFMTA's Low Income discounts may also qualify for other local and regional discounts. More information available on SFHSA's website.
Free and Discounted Benefits for HSA Program Recipients

Take advantage of the many free or discounted services available throughout the City to HSA recipients. In most cases, you'll just need to show your EBT card to get your discount or fee waiver.
